Looking for my fjords breeder (sorry english!)

Hi!

My dutch is not good im afraid so I think you'll be able to understand me better in english?

I have a fjord horse who was bred by W.H Derks - Hernen
and then bought by (i think) H.M Hendriks

Can anyone help me how I can contact these people? Or does anyone have an offspring of my horse Orchidee (1994)

Sorry I don't know them.
If your horses are registered at a studbook, maybe they have some more information about the breeders of your horses.
At least you could try.

Maybe you can look for a phonenumber on the internet, to reach them.

Thank you for getting back to me! I have looked on the internet and can't find anything but a phone number but because my dutch is awful they wouldnt be able to understand me haha!! Thank you again xx

The breeder Wim Derks died in 2004

He is the man in the white suit

Where does Orchidee come from? I know a fjord horse and her name is orchidee. Her mother is Kirsten.

Lots of people in the netherlands speak english so I would just give it a shot

Most Dutch people speak English, just call.

Maybe someone can translate things for you? If you make a list of the things you need or want to know and send it to someone willing to help you out, then they can translate the answers for you

I'm 99% sure they will understeand English! Otherwise you could ask a friend (who speaks Dutch) to call for you?

Like mentioned before, most people in Holland speak perfect English, even the older generation.
I would just give it a shot.
Hope you're able to find out more

To be honest, I don't think the elderly people over here do speak proper English, I think the previous owner/breeder is a typical ol' Dutch farmer, just a guess.

Native Dutch/English here, if you need some help just send me a pm.

Even farmers have kids who do speak basic English

Every person even an old farmer understands "Do you speak English" and can answer with yes or no.

You can at least try, if you don't get very far there will be lots of people willing to help you or call for you.
